The road connecting from Tamenglong Headquarter to Tamei and Tousem Sub Division is worsened and adverse that the commuters are facing a hard time to travel. The prolong adverse road condition has felt a desperate for the Rongmei Civil Society Organizations and took a collective measure voluntarily to repair the road for the ease of the local people and the commuters. The CSOs namely, Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) led by President KC Savio, Rongmei Naga Youth Organization Manipur (RNYOM) Richard Kamei and Rongmei Naga Students’ Organization Manipur (RNSOM) Daichui Gangmei together collectively have taken the initiative to repair the road. The RNCM President KC Savio also said that the voluntary works was taken up as the public could no longer stand and watch the miserable road condition as well as they could no longer bear to see the district Headquarter Road worsening due to which the commuters are facing the hard time. The CSO also expressed that, about 20 dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to fill the potholes by different measures to restore the road few days ago. The repaired road has a positive outcome that, the commuters, and all-over essential commodities and importance relevance work commuting from Tamenglong Headquarter to Tamei and Tousem Sub Division has lightly turn to ease for a time being. MLA Janghemlung Panmei of Tamenglong AC-53 put a lending hand to support the voluntary work for CSO by providing the machinery works such as JCB (Excavator). The RNCM President KC Savio also expressed their gratitude on behalf of all the CSOs representatives for the good Samaritan done by the MLA. The local residence also admires the CSOs for the exemplary work done by them in need times and also expect to take up such initiative in the days to come.
